Cotswold Canals Heritage - Gloucestershire Family & Local History
The waterways referred to as the Cotswold Canals extend from the River Severn to the Gloucester and Berkeley Canal and thence, at Saul Junction, into the Stroudwater Navigation. The Stroudwater continues to Wallbridge, Stroud where there is the junction with the Thames and Severn Canal. These canals are currently undergoing restoration and soon we should be able to travel on the waterways as well as walk the towpaths. This website contains photographs, facts, memories and a wealth of information about the Cotswold Canals.
