Craft Classes, Groups in Gloucestershire | Tuition, Lessons for Adults & Children

We cover a wide range of craft techniques and are constantly experimenting with new products that can be used for cardmaking, creative crafts, journals, scrapbooking and crafts for the home. Our workshops cater to all abilities and different groups of students – coffee morning crafts, Saturday teens, creative crafts, evening chit-chat 'n' crafts etc. We also offer bespoke parties, which can cater specifically for your occasion whether it is a children’s party, hen party, or baby shower. Additionally we offer bespoke 'design and make' wedding stationary and table favour workshops.

Stone carving for all levels of ability and experience. The tutor, Deborah Harrison, is a 3D specialist with a diploma in stone masonry. Weekly courses (afternoons or evenings) consist of two and a half hour sessions, once a week for 6 weeks or more intense two day course at weekends. I also take special bookings for parties and groups.

Our aims are to encourage learning and sharing enjoyment of textiles with like-minded people of all ages. The Cotswold Branch was the founding Embroiderers’ Guild Branch in this part of the country, current membership of the Cotswold Branch covers Gloucester, Cheltenham, Forest of Dean, Tewkesbury, Winchcombe and Cirencester.

Our shop is entirely run by, and filled with the work of Gloucestershire artists and makers. We pride ourselves on our 'localness'! You can visit the shop and the person inside will be one of the makers who may even be working on a piece at the time, so you can ask lots of questions and find out how a craft is done. The centre has a variety of arts, crafts, painting and sewing workshops running throughout the year.

Learn the craft of professional jewellers working in silver and use traditional techniques. Students leave with a finished piece of handmade silver jewellery. There is a friendly, relaxed atmosphere but you will learn a lot and be amazed at what you can achieve in just a short space of time. Class sizes are kept small so that teaching can be adapted to suit the needs of each student. There are three set classes to choose from: Ring in a Day, Bracelets and Bangles, Pendants and Earrings. Price includes all materials.

Phil is a designer and maker of 'country style chairs'. These are chairs where the main components, such as legs and rails, are of 'rounded' timber. He uses seasoned hardwoods (mainly Ash and Elm) to make Cotswold Ladderbacks, Shaker Ladderbacks and Welsh 'Stick' chairs. Chair making workshops held. Furniture repair and renovation service.

A pottery studio in a wonderful countryside location providing pottery tuition for individuals or small groups. You can learn and develop skills in Wheel throwing, coiling, slab building, decorating, making and applying and glazes, and how to use a load and use a kiln. Classes can be tailored to suit your individual requirements. In my workshops, we will be exploring the creative process and I will demonstrate some popular forms, The Studio also sells a range of functional pottery and contemporary ceramic pieces.
