There are different Scout groups for a range of age groups, running activities to suit that particular age range. All aim to give the young people a chance to make friends, try different activities and give them opportunities to develop their personalities and confidence. Beaver Scouts are for children aged 6 to 8 years; Cub Scouts, for children aged 8 to 10.5 years; Scouts for children aged 10.5 to 14 years and Explorer Scouts for ages 14 to 18 years. There are often waiting lists for these Scout groups in Gloucestershire, so it is worth putting your child's name down as early as possible if you think they would like to join.
