Has watching Chris Froome power his way through the mountains in Le Tour de France 2013 given you the urge to get in the saddle? Perhaps Bradley Wiggins winning Le Tour and Olympic Gold in 2012 inspired you to start cycling and you want some cycling challenges. There are lots of cycling clubs throughout Gloucestershire which cover all the cycling disciplines from track, to time trial and road racing and they cater for all levels of ability. Some cycle clubs offer members the challenge of competing in time trials and road races, whilst touring clubs offer members the opportunity to ride in the company of other cyclists and explore the Gloucestershire and Cotswolds countryside at a more relaxed pace. Many cycle clubs are family friendly or have a junior section so the next generation of British cyclists can begin their journey to success! There are also mountain bike clubs and triathlon teams.
The bulk of our riding revolves around Cranham Woods, near Gloucester, Standish Woods, around Stroud and the Forest of Dean. The areas we ride in have a wide variety of singletrack and downhill trails. We have two regular rides a week, one on Sunday and the other on a Wednesday evening. New riders welcome to try before joining the Club.
The premier cycling club in Cheltenham and the surrounding Gloucestershire area, with over 250 members we welcome and cater for all cyclists, male, female, young or old, who are interested in road, mountain bike, timetrialling, cyclo cross or downhill. For road riders, we organise regular Club Runs all year round. During winter months (November-March), we also organise the areas very popular winter training rides. On the racing side we run a popular club time trials series as well as Open Time Trials.
We offer the opportunity to ride in company and explore some of the less well known parts of our area. A choice of rides to suit all levels of ability, which take place on Sundays, Tuesday and Thursday mornings and Thursday evenings. Other activities include Youth Hostel weekends and UK and foreign tours. Social programme from October to March.
The Club is focused on promoting challenging and enjoyable cycling, for all levels of ability, within a supportive and friendly environment, to all adults and families in the Cirencester area by providing year round social and competitive cycling events.
Cycle Stars is a youth cycling club providing coaching for children aged between 5-16 years old. The club is affiliated to British Cycling and the British Schools Cycling Association and caters for Road Race, Cyclo-Cross, Grass Track, Club Rides.
The Club caters for racing and leisure cyclists of all disciplines and ages. Formed in 1970 its members have competed locally and nationally ever since. Originally a mainly touring club most members now compete in time trialling and road racing as well as sportive events. New members welcome, especially riders from 16 years old upwards or under 16 with parent/guardian.

The Club has many members covering the entire age spectrum and most cycling disciplines: off road, audax, time trial, racing, track and leisure rides. Also has a Junior Section.
New riders whether CTC members or guests, are always welcome. If you haven't been out with us before then give us a try. Saturday and Tuesday afternoon rides, being shorter, are generally more relaxed.
We are a small, friendly club and welcome people of all abilities. Whether you just fancy a challenge or are training for multiple Ironman events, TTC is a great group of people. All speeds catered for.
Founded in 1998, TTG is Gloucestershires biggest triathlon club with around 70 members, many of whom represent Great Britain regularly in international age group competitions, winning medals and some becoming World Champions. New members welcome. We run taster sessions so you can see if triathlon is for you. You can turn up at any of the training sessions.
The club was set up in October 2007 by a small number of committed local cyclists who have been long standing passionate fans of all forms of the sport including road racing and time trialling. The aim of Velo Club Montpellier is to be an high profile and fashionable cycling club for racing enthusiasts based in the Montpellier area of Cheltenham. Members of VC Montpellier will be actively racing on a local and national basis. Look out for the riders in their distinctive black, turquoise and white kit.
We are a friendly club and are into all forms of cycling, on and off-road. Whether you’re a novice or an expert, the club has something to offer. Members take part in regular social rides, Audax/Sportive riding, MTB enduro events, road racing/time trialling and touring.
