Many angling clubs in Gloucestershire have private lakes and ponds or licence sections of canals and rivers. Join a local fishing club for angling competitions and matches. Day ticket fishing for carp, bream, trout, perch, roach, rudd, tench, pike, chub may also be available.
Founded in 1993, the club was named after the stretch of water it controlled. The old river stretch was lost a few years ago and the club is currently looking for a stretch of water to call home. In the meantime, we tour the local carp commercials, lakes, rivers and canals. We have a full, year round, competition calendar that has even seen us breaking ice to fish on several occasions!
Elton Carp lakes are two popular mature purpose-built carp fishing lakes, near Newnham on Severn. We welcome anglers from Gloucestershire and beyond to our lovely lakes. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. There is also nightstop camping available across the road.
During open season, fishing must be booked and paid for at either the boathouse (during opening hours) or Central Cross Cafe. You will be issued with a copy of the lake rules once you have paid and shown your Environment Agency rod licence. You are request to have a valid Environment Agency rod licence and you may be asked to show proof of it by a member of Cheltenham Borough Council Ranger Service.
Founded in 1914 the club was originally established to cater for both coarse and game enthusiasts. The Club currently holds the rights to over 5 miles of fishing on the River Leadon, a small tributary of the Severn. Memberships available for both Trout and Coarse seasons

Our main waters and clubhouse are located in and around the village of South Cerney, in the heart of the Cotswold Water Park. As well as having plenty of room on our waters for new members, we always welcome visitors to both our day ticket waters and our fully licensed clubhouse.
There are three fishing lakes, one lake is available for both private and public match bookings for approximately 20 pegs. The Front lake is available at all times and is not booked for matches. It is easily accessible with parking on the lake side.
Carp, tench, pike and perch fishing. From the inland sea that is the famous Bradley's Fishery, with carp to 40lb+, to the intimate Little Horseshoe of four and a half acres, with it's large head of quality carp to 35lb+. Day, 24 hour and season permits available.
The picturesque lakes are home to a wealth of large carp, and also contain a variety of other fish, such as tench, roach, perch, pike and bream.
A privately run, specimen Carp Fishery with carp to over 30lb and provides the perfect venue for quality fishing. Bookable day tickets and cabins.
