The Group is part of the Ramblers. The group is intended for people in their 20's, 30's and 40's with an interest in getting outdoors and walking and enjoying the countryside, with the odd detour to a local pub or tea shop. We welcome new members.

Our members come from a wide area and from all walks of life. We welcome members from all areas of the boating community whether they own a motor cruiser, sail boat or narrow boat, as well as non boaters with an interest in boating. We are open every Friday and Saturday evening from 2000hrs.

Gloucestershire Academy of Music has been the starting place for thousands of young musicians many of whom now play in professional orchestras and ensembles throughout the world, but who all retain their lifelong love of music. Founded in 1982, the Academy is a non-profit making company with charitable status. Our aim is to provide musical training for children and adults of all ages and abilities. Free tasters are available in all group sessions - starter strings, orchestras and ensembles, and trial individual lessons can be arranged. Bursaries are also available.

You can visit the shop and the person inside will be one of the makers who may even be working on a piece at the time, so you can ask lots of questions and find out how a craft is done. The centre has a variety of arts, crafts, painting and sewing workshops running throughout the year.

The Group works to conserve and educate; we carry out active conservation projects for bats and also undertake a range of educational projects to inform the public about these much misunderstood creatures. The group aims to assist the public with enquiries and concerns regarding bats and to provide educational activities, such as bat walks, and talks. The group runs a programme of public events throughout the year, at which members of the public are very welcome. We also run a wider program of events for bat group members.
