The Group is part of the Ramblers. The group is intended for people in their 20's, 30's and 40's with an interest in getting outdoors and walking and enjoying the countryside, with the odd detour to a local pub or tea shop. We welcome new members.

At the clubhouse bar there is plenty of informal information and practical assistance connected with boating. It is also a great place to relax, hold social events and to meet new and old friends. Our members come from a wide area and from all walks of life. We welcome members from all areas of the boating community whether they own a motor cruiser, sail boat or narrow boat, as well as non boaters with an interest in boating. We are open every Friday and Saturday evening from 2000hrs.

Gloucestershire Academy of Music has been the starting place for thousands of young musicians many of whom now play in professional orchestras and ensembles throughout the world, but who all retain their lifelong love of music. Founded in 1982, the Academy is a non-profit making company with charitable status. Our aim is to provide musical training for children and adults of all ages and abilities. Free tasters are available in all group sessions - starter strings, orchestras and ensembles, and trial individual lessons can be arranged. Bursaries are also available.

GlosARG comprises of volunteers across Gloucestershire; it has been created for anyone who is concerned with the conservation of native frogs, toads, newts, lizards and snakes. New members are welcome. We believe the best way to learn is hands on; you will get close-up experience of snakes, lizards, frogs/toads and newts across the county. At the same time you will get to meet like minded people, with a passion and enthusiasm to conserve our Herptile population, so why not join us today?

Our shop is entirely run by, and filled with the work of Gloucestershire artists and makers. We pride ourselves on our 'localness'! You can visit the shop and the person inside will be one of the makers who may even be working on a piece at the time, so you can ask lots of questions and find out how a craft is done. The centre has a variety of arts, crafts, painting and sewing workshops running throughout the year.

The Group works to conserve and educate; we carry out active conservation projects for bats and also undertake a range of educational projects to inform the public about these much misunderstood creatures. The group aims to assist the public with enquiries and concerns regarding bats and to provide educational activities, such as bat walks, and talks. The group runs a programme of public events throughout the year, at which members of the public are very welcome. We also run a wider program of events for bat group members.

GDance works to ensure there are a range of opportunities for disabled and non-disabled people in Gloucestershire (and some surrounding areas) to get involved in dance and the arts. Guides are split into the following ages: Rainbows (aged 5-7 years), Brownies (aged 7-11 years), Guides (aged 10-15 years), Senior Section (aged 14-26 years).

The Mandarin School works jointly with two language colleges and other educational providers and offers Mandarin classes for both adults and children in Cheltenham and Gloucester as well as hosting many exciting events throughout the year.

A small band of enthusiasts who love anything MG. We are a friendly club that enjoys its social events. We always have ay least one evening run in the summer months as well as many other social events. We meet every second Thursday of the month with meetings starting at 8.00pm.

Morris dancing is one of the oldest of English traditions. The Morris Men perform at various venues in Gloucestershire throughout the year. Can be booked for events. In the winter months some of the men perform traditional mummers plays at various locations around the county. New members of all ages welcome.

We are a very active club with a membership of over 120 mountaineers, climbers, walkers, ski tourers, mountain bikers and fell runners. We have our own hut in Snowdonia and a very active meets list. To meet us informally come along to one of our pub meets at the WCC bar on the first Tuesday of each month at 9pm.

Operates 7 adult netball leagues and junior leagues throughout Gloucestershire.

The group's aim is to support actively the work of the RSPB in the local community. We have regular indoor meetings and throughout the year have field trips to local venues including nature reserves. Free admission to group members, non-members are also welcome (admission fee applies).
