Clubs and social groups aimed at the more mature citizens of Gloucestershire, so you are unlikely to find any skateboarding clubs here!
In Cheltenham there are 11 autonomous Probus Clubs. These clubs have formed a "Combined Clubs Committee" which arranges trips and visits to places of interest for all members.Renowned for their informality, Probus Club meetings, held at regular intervals, perhaps twice monthly, may consist of a rendezvous for morning coffee, followed by a talk by an invited speaker on a topic of interest to the members. Members themselves contribute to the programme with accounts of their experiences or by providing entertainment at festive occasions.
Glevum Probus Social Club meets on the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of each Month except December (once only). The Club is for Men only with quarterly Ladies Days. After Coffee/Tea a talk is given by a Club or external Speaker- the talk lasting about an hour. The club welcomes ALL retired or semi-retired men in a non-religious and non-political environment.
The club meets on the first and third Thursday of the month, with a visiting speaker. Other social events arranged throughout the year. New members welcome.
