Rambling and walking groups are ideal for people who want to exercise, but do not like the idea of being stuck in a gym or fitness class, preferring to get outside and enjoy the countryside. Throughout the Cotswolds and Gloucestershire there are lots of local groups who organise weekday, evening and weekend walks and rambles through some of the best countryside, with the odd detour to take in the local pub or cafe. There are even some self-guided walks to download and fit in around your own commitments.
Our regular walking will be making the best use of the local area for Sunday and short evening walks. Saturday longer distance walkers will have plenty to occupy them as far afield as Berkshire or the Black Mountains, Wales. There are also social activities with a Boules evening in July, a club lunch and a DIY barbeque in August.
The Group is part of the Ramblers. The group is intended for people in their 20's, 30's and 40's with an interest in getting outdoors and walking and enjoying the countryside, with the odd detour to a local pub or tea shop. We welcome new members.
