Gloucester Waterways Museum offers boat trips and hire options on its two boats, King Arthur and Queen Boadicea II. Trips depart from the dockside at the museum for either the River Severn or the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal. A 45 minute boat cruise with historic commentary by the skipper. (The Queen Boadicea boat helped save the lives of British soldiers at Dunkirk.) See website for details of seasonal sailing times. Boats are available for private hire, for corporate or special celebrations like weddings with a capacity of 100 standing (60 in winter) or 46 seated. Operates April to October.
